The unusual piece of playground equipment has a tube underground which links the two ear pieces.

The distance between the ear pieces is over 17 metres, but it is possible to hear the person at the other end talking, even in a whisper.

This novel piece of equipment has been well received by curious children and adults alike.

The ear pieces are set in compressed concrete with paving slabs at the base. It took a day to install and demonstrates that play areas are not just about swings, slides and roundabouts!!
