| HORTICULTURAL MAINTENANCE |
|||||||||||||||||||||
Shrubs and hedges are important features, not just for providing colour or boundaries, but also for giving food and shelter to wildlife including birds, insects and mammals. Care is taken to minimise disturbance to wildlife, but also to avoid problems such as shrubs overhanging paths or blocking windows. Our work includes the provision and maintenance of the seasonal bedding displays within the town centre, on traffic islands and in local parks. The care of such scenic features is a specialist task involving good soil preparation, weeding, deadheading, and fertilising. The correct level of maintenance contributes to the Borough of Poole’s success in the Britain in Bloom competition. For additional information please visit the Borough of Poole web site |
