The grass cutting operations undertaken throughout the district vary from routine cut and leave undertaken every two weeks to weekly boxing off. There are also some highway verges which are cut once a month and wildflower meadows which are cut annually.
Due to the logistics of the Lake District and the structural make-up of small villages the grass cutting teams are split into four main areas. Information on these grass cutting rounds can be accessed using the links above.
In winter we undertake a programme of path edging where we remove grass that has grown over the footpaths. This work is carried out once the grass has stopped growing and follows the four general grass cutting routes.
Our equipment is always kept up to date and we have a mobile fitter to ensure our machines are well maintained and safe. |
