History
Continental Landscapes Ltd has been working in partnership with Cherwell District Council since 1999. We originally won the grounds maintenance contract with Cherwell for 6 years and have successfully retained it. We maintain a wide variety of sites around the district, including several roundabouts, to a high standard.
Together we achieved the highest accreditation recognised, in the Regional Britain in Bloom. We were also highly commended for our roadside verges.
We achieve these standards by investing in our workforce; most have, or are working towards NVQ's in horticulture. Where specialised training is required (e.g. spraying, tree care), our staff are encouraged to take all relevant courses. We also have several modern apprentices, and actively work with local schools and colleges on works experience programmes.
Cherwell Is Blooming
Cherwell has again excelled in the recent Britain in Bloom competitions, with Bicester winning a gold medal. Banbury & Kidlington achieved silver guilt standard; Banbury recieved top honours for their roundabouts and verges.
