GREEN FLAG AWARD in Bristol
Just wanted to let you know that we got the Green Flag for St Pauls Park, please can you pass our thanks and congratulations on to the team for all their hard work in the park!
It was a good team effort from all involved.

St Paul's Park is located behind St Paul’s Church, Portland Square, St Paul’s, Bristol BS2
New and improved...
A green lung in a densely built up inner city area, St Paul’s Park has recently undergone a major
redevelopment.
The park was previously run down and outdated and was perceived by local residents as being unsafe. Now there are lots of new features on offer in the park and the new layout provides clear visibility across the site.
For young visitors and their families, there is specialist play equipment and seating set within a fenced area. For teenagers there is a basketball hoop, a climbing wall, 'twin-fly' equipment and a newly created ramp and dish feature for bikes and skateboards. There are also large curved seating steps that provide a space to relax. The park has a range of new attractive planting including six palm trees and a unique grassed event space with ground anchor points designed for circus performance and training in partnership with Circomedia.
The new park is a result of many years of collaborative work between Bristol Parks and the residents and agencies involved in the St Paul's Unlimited Parks Sub Group. The improvements have been made possible by grants totalling over £350,000 from Neighbourhood Renewal and Big Lottery Funding from Places for People.
